Earn SAM Credit

Qualified by the American Board of Radiology in meeting the criteria for self-assessment toward the purpose of fulfilling requirements in the ABR Maintenance of Certification Program.

“Advanced Breast Imaging”  has been qualified by the American Board of Radiology for 17 SA-CME credits as this is an Enduring Material Course.

SAM credits are required for radiologists certified since 2002, and strongly suggested for all radiologists. Due to recent CMS negotiations with the American Board of Radiologist, EVEN radiologists with grandfathered lifetime certification are now encouraged to participate in the MOC process. Specifically, pay for performance incentives–that may evolve into penalties for noncompliance–are being linked to “being in the process of obtaining” MOC. You can contact the ABR for specifics.
